You can get this plugin here.

ComicRack 0.9.126/127/128 released

Almost 2 months in the making (yes, I work slower when the sun burns on my head while I lay on the grass at some alpine lake :)), here is the new ComicRack 0.9.126, faster, bigger and badder than any other build that came before.

Short list of highlights:

  • Full DjVu support (reading and exporting)
  • Reordering of tabs
  • Page selection when exporting eComics
  • New rating system (community ratings and fractional ratings)
  • Huge performance gain when working with complex smart lists

For details check the description for the download.

UPDATE: 0.9.126 had an ugly bug in the Multiple Comics Editor. The fix is in 0.9.127 which replaces 0.9.126. Just redownload from the link below.

UPDATE 2: And another one slipped through. Let's call this codename "Trinity". The fix is in 0.9.128 which replaces 0.9.127. Just redownload.

Some Free Comic Books

There's always a place to support independent Comic Artists here at ComicRack :)

ARMAGEDDONQUEST

ARMAGEDDONQUEST squirms and thrashes in a crawlspace it dug out with its bare talons, partway between the early graphic novel and classic “outsider” art. It’s the comics version of the demon-haunted work of the young Daniel Johnston, raw, passionate, demented, electric.

–Warren Ellis

AQ by Ronald Russell Roach spans 20 Chapters of pure comix glee.  Brought to you by Killing the Grizzly with the blessings of the author, KTG will soon be kickstarting a KICKSTARTER campaign to fund a new limited edition printing of this early comix masterwork.  Anyone who helps out/contributes will receive the full 20 Chapters (nearly 900 pages!) in CBZ format, among bigger incentives such as signed copies of the new print edition, original art, and more.

For information on helping, GO HERE.

Don’t know if you want to help?  Check out these first six chapters free below!

Read Comics IPad and IPhone users can't

Apple did it again. They removed the eComic "Ulysses seen" from their store because of "nudity". Read more about this here.

Of course, you're using ComicRack on a good ol' Windows machine, so no one is telling you what you can and can't read. So download it now and enjoy :)

ComicRack 0.9.125 released

This is mainly a bug fix and maintenance release.
It has some enhancements for script developers and a new docking option for Info Panels.

This release includes a working HTML Info Panel to display the content of the Web link field. If you want to use it you must turn it on in Preferences/Scripts. It is turned off by default.

Happy Birthday ComicRack

ComicRack is 4 years old today. On the 27. May 2006 I made this post on comicrack.blogspot.com. (You have to stop your browser from redirecting - otherwise you will be moved back to this site :))

It took over half a year to reach more then 100 page views a day. Today this site averages at about 8000 page views a day. Times do change.

This is the original ComicRack 0.9.0 version. Simply unzip into a folder (not the same as your current ComicRack installation) and start it. It will not conflict with your current ComicRack version. If I compare this initial version with the current builds I'm simply amazed :)

If you want to to congratulate and wish ComicRack another 4 years, head over to the User Form.
