How to resize for 7" screen. 1 year, 7 months ago #8487
|
Hello all, I am trying to resize my comic collection for portable viewing on one of the cheapo Android 7" tablets, has anyone tried this? I have no idea what to set the resizing at? I want to keep my originals intact and just make a complete new smaller set for the tablet, any ideas? Thanks in advance.

They don't need to be resized. If you are trying to make them small, you're just going to run into the problem of not having readable text.
You could make them slightly smaller, but well, it's not going to be a one size fits all solution for every comic. You'll have to experiment. Extract the contents of a comic, then use a batch image tool to resize by percentage. Likely a 60-80€ size reduction is all you'll be able to pull of while still retaining clear readability. Perhaps smaller in some cases if the text is large enough. |

Note, that you can do this via ComicRack export tool (Ctrl+Shfit+E).
You can extract images to folder or convert to pdf and resize them at the same time. 7" - that should be like native 800x480 resolution? or 800x600? try exporting comic and resize with height at 800px and relative width. check if it's readable - if not try bigger resolution. oh, the only cbz reader for andrioid I know: Droid Comic Viewer (aka ACV) - www.robotcomics.net/android-comic-viewer/ I don't know if it's any good, though. |

ACV is excellent. I doubt you'll need to resize the images at all, frankly; try full-res first.
