Hi its probably been asked for before but I wondered if there was any plans to develope Comic Rack for Android? I am looking at a new iPad type device called GoPad which uses this OS on a 7" display.I know there is AVC but this product has been my favourite for a while,if it was added as a paid app I am pretty sure others like myself would jump at the chance to use it. Heres wishing with fingers crossed

One of the next releases will have an integrated web server with ajax apis to get books, book info and page images.
This will open up the opportunity to write a web based, device agnostic comic reader. |

I find AVC (www.robotcomics.net/android-comic-viewer/) works fine for the Android device, and comic rack is great for organizing and reading on the computer. Both programs are free but you should donate if you like them.

Web reader that would access my private Libraries but maybe also all the Public Libraries? |

Has anyone given more thought to bringing CR integration to Android? I've tried a few comics readers for my Droid X but nothing matches ComicRack. I'd love to just access my shared comics over Wi-Fi or even 3G and not have to move files to my phone for reading. I think with the future of Android tablets looking more promising this could be a huge feature for ComicRack as we inch towards 1.0

There are day by day new tablets developed and produced, and for sure there is among them some good Android ones with ample screen size (minimum 10 inch). Is ANYONE following these developments of foot these days and can let me know if these tablets can be used with CR ? A USB connection should be a minimum for connecting a portable disk or uploading your comics to the harddrive ? Apple seems to come soon with a newer version iPad, but then again, there are cheaper tablets in the market and I believe the Android ones become the winner over time. Key is 10 inch, color, USB connection and friendly operating system for use with CR as the main software tool to view commics.
I am interested to hear MORE views !! Especially as they should also come from Europe, please ! |

I am just waiting for the Archos 101 to come out and as it is android based I would love it if ComicRack would run on the device. Truthfully though, as long as you have the reader installed, and ComicRack somewhere on your network you are covered. I will just connect to a share and go from there.
