ComicRack 0.9.126 introduces the new ratings system.

Here are some improvements that might be considered:


1. Reduction in the shade/hue/color of the "unrated" stars


I feel that the "unrated" stars a bit darker. It would be nice if we can make them a shade lighter ?

2. Option to use either numerals or stars in the browser (details view) ratings column


In the Info dialog, we are able to see the rating as both stars and numbers. Similarly, while viewing comics in the Browser (details view), can have an option to show the ratings as either numerals or as stars.

3. Option to use either numerals or stars over the eComic thumbnails

Similarly, we can have the ratings numbers (instead of stars) sitting over the eComic thumbnails in the browser

4. Solid (not outlined) rating stars over the eComic thumbnails


Currently, the rating stars over the eComic thumbnails in the browser appear as yellow outlines. In my opinion, we should have solid yellow stars, that would be more visible.
Can we also have an option to change the color of the rating stars ?

5. Option to display either "my ratings" or "community ratings" in the rating stars over the eComic thumbnails

6. Enhanced "My rating" sub-menu


Currently, the "my rating" sub-menu shows option to rate eComics from 1 to 5 with a 1-point increment. I understand we can't have all options from 1 to 10 in an 0.1 increment, but can have them in a 0.5 increment. i.e. 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 , 3, 3.5... and so on. We can have an option in preferences for such an enhanced "My ratings" menu that gives us 0.5 increments, keeping the current 1-point option as the default.

So, what do you think ? Any of these ideas any good ?

CYO can't rest with 600WPMPO's requests .
I would love to have solid stars also.
It's hard to see them in some covers.

I'd like an option to not have the stars on thumbnails at all.

it's the first time i see thins type of enhancements... would you be able to do similar things, cYo? would be useful in various places in CR...

Also, I'm not seeing "Community Rating" or "External Rating" in the smartlist builders, Group By/Stack By/Sort By, Details view fields or the pull-down browsers. Adding these would be really helpful in finding which books I've scraped for these and which still need it

Only the search browser lacks the "My Ratings" field. I personally don't use / need it in the search browser. If you need it, request it to cYo, and let him decide if this indeed is needed.
